Briefing Notes (NAL)
In order to monitor agricultural, rural and environmental trends in the Euro-Mediterranean world it is necessary to identify the emerging trends and rupture phenomena that are gradually transforming the conditions facing farmers in regional countries. The briefing notes are short publications, two to five pages long, which seek to offer a response to the international events that are likely to modify the food and agriculture situation in the Mediterranean.

Each of these CIHEAM publications provides in-depth treatment of a particular subject. They may explore the underlying aspects of agricultural issues in individual countries or regional challenges of serious concern to all players in the Mediterranean food system.
