About the "4 per 1000" Initiative

Launched at COP21 in 2015, the "4 per 1000" Initiative advocates for solutions to enhance organic matter in agricultural soils, thereby improving soil fertility and its function as a carbon sink. The CIHEAM actively supports this effort to promote a sustainable and inclusive future for Mediterranean food systems.
