Within its 60th Anniversary, the CIHEAM is delighted to be part of COP 27 (Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt, 6-18 November 2022). For the first time in the history of the United Nations Climate Change Conference, the 27th edition will host a Mediterranean Pavilion. The CIHEAM is a partner of this initiative designed to highlight both the pressing challenges and the innovative solutions developed throughout the Mediterranean, by raising public awareness about a region that is insufficiently taken into account in climate negotiations. As such, the CIHEAM will hold 3 side events within the #MediterraneanPavilion, intervene at different levels to address Agricultural, Food, and Water Security issues, and will promote more resilient models in the dynamics of regional cooperation.
