Investing in Youth For Sustainable Agri-food Systems : Linking Education to job opportunities

CIHEAM - Lebanese Alumni International Seminar, 24 September 2025, Beirut (Lebanon)

The Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture and CIHEAM are co-organising in Beirut, on 24 September 2025, an international seminar dedicated to CIHEAM’s Lebanese Alumni, with the aim of placing youth, skills and innovation at the heart of the country’s agri-food transformation.

The event is part of a broader recovery dynamic in which employment, education and applied research converge toward tangible outcomes for agricultural and rural value chains. Among the participants will be H.E. Nizar Hani, Minister of Agriculture, H.E. Kamal Shehadi and Minister of Technological Innovation and Artificial Intelligence.

The initiative also coincides with CIHEAM’s sixty-third anniversary, offering a symbolic occasion to reflect on past achievements while charting a vision for the future of youth in Mediterranean agriculture.
