International Union for the Conservation of Nature
IUCN is a Union of Members composed of governments and civil society organisations. It provides public, private and non-governmental organisations with the necessary knowledge and tools for the harmonious achievement of human progress, economic development and nature conservation. IUCN is an international authority on the state of global nature and natural resources and on the measures required to safeguard them.

CARE-MEDIFLORA Project (conservation status of threatened Mediterranean plant species)
In partnership with: CIHEAM Chania
CARE-MEDIFLORA, "Conservation Actions for Threatened Mediterranean Island Flora: ex situ and in situ joint actions", aims to improve the conservation status of threatened Mediterranean plant species. It is a project jointly implemented by institutions from six Mediterranean islands (Balearic Islands, Corsica, Sardinia, Sicily, Crete and Cyprus) and the IUCN/SSC Mediterranean Plant Specialist Group.
