Mediterranean Aquaculture Integrated Development (2017-2021) is an H2020 project. The objective of the project is to increase the overall competitiveness and sustainability of the Mediterranean marine aquaculture sector, focusing on the main species produced, i.e. the sea bass and sea bream. The project is based on a consortium of 36 partners with different profiles from 13 countries across the Mediterranean region and Europe in order to provide applied research results and recommendations to improve animal performance, business plans and better governance.
Main Goals: To enhance the competitiveness and sustainability of the Mediterranean aquaculture sector throughout the value chain; To increase the technical productivity and economic performance of the sector; To achieve more responsible consumption and build a social reputation.
