Climate Challenges call for the urgent mobilization of Mediterranean countries for sustainable water and soil management In 2021, the FAO, the CIHEAM and the UfMs have joined forces to provide a framework for collaboration aiming at accelerating progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and supporting the shift towards more sustainable food systems in the Mediterranean region. The closing event of the GEMAISA2 project “Strengthening Gender Mainstreaming for Sustainable Rural Development and Food Security” took place on Friday, 15 October 2021, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm CET. The GID and the CIHEAM jointly organize the 9th Parmenides Conference, focusing on the sustainable management of Mediterranean watersheds face with the impacts of societal and climate changes.
