PRIVACY POLICY

This information is provided to natural persons who give their personal data to the CIHEAM, in all of its entities.

DATA CONTROLLER

SOURCE OF DATA

The personal data processed are those provided directly by the interested party on the occasion of: CIHEAM’s newsletter subscription

PURPOSE OF TREATMENT

The personal data of the data subject are processed for the following purposes according to the applicable General Policy of information security and personal data protection of the CIHEAM: forwarding communications about CIHEAM activities and other relevant information in institutional and scientific fields.

LEGAL BASIS OF TREATMENT

The legal basis of the treatment is the General Policy of information security and personal data protection of the CIHEAM. The provision of data is mandatory for the subscription of the newsletter services.

CATEGORIES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

In particular, the data of the data subject falls into the following categories:

  • Personal data: e.g. name, address, and other elements of personal identification; language preference
  • Contact data: e.g. n. mobile phone, email address;
  • Professional data: e.g. curriculum of studies and duties;

RECIPIENTS OF THE DATA

Your data may be communicated to third parties whose intervention in the treatment is necessary based on the services requested or on the basis of contractual or regulatory obligations. Your data may also be processed by employees or collaborators of our organization appointed as data processors, as well as by companies that perform outsourcing activities, including management of websites or cloud computing services, external suppliers, professionals and consultants who are appointed as Data Processors.

Your personal data will not be disclosed, nor will it be passed on to third parties for advertising or marketing purposes without your explicit consent. Automated decision-making processes will not be used for your personal data.

Without the express consent of the interested party, the CIHEAM only may communicate the data for the purposes coming from legal obligations and Public Authorities as well as to all the other authorized subjects to whom the communication is appropriate for public order purposes. These subjects will process the data in their capacity as independent data controllers.

DATA TRANSFER

In respect of the purpose of the treatment, the datas could be transferred to third parties operating in different countries, also out of the EU, only when the conditions of the protection of personal data is guaranteed by the existence of an agreement with CIHEAM.

DATA RETENTION PERIOD    

The data sent is kept as long as the data subject withdraws consent or requests cancellation.

RIGHTS OF DATA SUBJECT

As an "Interested" to the treatment, you have the right of demand:

  • access, rectification, cancellation, appeal and opposition to data processing;
  • obtain unhindered from the data controller the data in a structured format commonly used and readable by an automatic device to transmit them to another data controller;
  • revoke the consent to the treatment, without prejudice to the lawfulness of the treatment based on the consent acquired before the revocation.
